GET TO KNOW ABBY...
Abby is an Actor/Writer/Dog Lover from Minneapolis, MN. Her recent television credits include HBO's Veep, Netflix's Dear White People, and a recurring role on Freeform's Switched at Birth.
From age two, Abby’s dad took her to every production at The Children’s Theater in Minneapolis and she was mesmerized by the performances. Although she had many hobbies like fencing and dog sledding, acting was a constant and she began training at the renowned Guthrie Theater. Abby then graduated high school early to attend the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Hollywood, where she went through the conservatory training and was a Company member.
Since graduation, Abby has honed her sitcom technique with Gunnar Todd Rohrbacher at Actors Comedy Studio and with Emmy Award winning sitcom director, Mary Lou Belli. Abby currently studies at Warner Loughlin Studios and coaches with actress/teacher Elaine Hendrix. As a writer, Abby has co-written a sitcom pilot, Detoured, and is in pre-production for the short film, Holiday Hostage.
Abby is a ukulele-playing girl who spends her time volunteering and traveling. She and her Pit Bull, Oscar, volunteer with Wags and Walks fostering rescue dogs until they're adopted. Favorite travel spots are Switzerland (for the chocolate), Israel (for the hummus), Argentina (for the tango), and Italy (for everything).
Abby loves taking advantage of what LA has to offer - she's always running around town attending panels & screenings at the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, Film Independent, and the SAG Foundation. She also regularly attends multi-camera sitcom tapings, so the transition to starring in her own sitcom (that she created) will be seamless!
